NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion wrestling head coach Steve Martin received the Colon E. Baker Service Award presented by the Virginia Challenge on Friday at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.
The Colon E. Baker Service Award recognizes outstanding lifetime service to wrestling in Virginia across a variety of actions, performances and volunteerism. The award is named after Colon E. Baker, who was one of Virginia's most ardent wrestling supporters. Baker was a member of Great Bridge High School's first ever wrestling team and helped out at the Virginia duals for 23 years from 1983-2006 alongside his wife Anna Baker.
