HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Gabe Montenegro and Hunter Slater each had three hits and two RBIs as Southern Miss clinched a Conference USA baseball series with a 14-4 victory over Old Dominion on Saturday at Pete Taylor Park.
The Golden Eagles (14-6, 5-0) won 11-0 in Friday’s series opener.
Tommy Bell went 2 for 4 with two RBIs for the Monarchs (15-7, 1-5), while Bryce Windham and Matt Schwarz each had three hits.
The series finale will be at noon today.
