Ryan Grubbs homered, doubled and drove in six runs Saturday as Christopher Newport, the No. 2 baseball team in NCAA Division III, posted an 18-6 victory in Game 1 of a doubleheader at Penn State Harrisburg.
A six-run sixth and a seven-run eighth propelled the Captains, who got three hits apiece from Grubbs, Nicholas Baham, Jordan Mason and Eric O'Brien. Josh Husby pitched 6 2/3 innings, yielding five earned runs and seven hits, for the victory.
