OAK RIDGE, Tenn. -- The Old Dominion women's rowing team completed day one of the Big 12 Championship on Saturday at Melton Hill Lake.
The opening day of racing consisted of qualifying heats in the five scored events: 1V8, 2V8, 3V8, 1V4 and 2V4. Overall, the Lady Monarchs qualified a total of four boats for tomorrow's grand finals.
The 1V8 (Cleveland, Phy, Sterling, Stephan, Stafford, Gall, La Sala, Rennie, Woody) opened the afternoon with a third-place finish (6:38.488) in its preliminary heat, qualifying for tomorrow's final. ODU finished behind Texas (6:12.192) and Kansas (6:34.
