NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University kicker Nick Rice was named the Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Week, C-USA announced on Monday.
Rice kicked a pair of field goals in ODU's 34-31 come-from-behind win over North Texas, including a career-long tying 48-yarder. He knocked in a 37-yarder to cut ODU's deficit to four before Lala Davis' game-winning score with 15 seconds left in the game. Rice was also a perfect 4-for-4 on extra points.
For the season, Rice is 12-for-16 on field goals and has made nine-straight. He is 28-for-29 on extra points.
