Fox Sports will no longer televise Conference USA football and men’s and women’s basketball and will be replaced as the league’s high-profile TV outlet by ESPN, according to a report published Monday in the Huntington (W.Va.) Herald-Dispatch.
Quoting anonymous sources, columnist Chuck Landon wrote that ESPN will carry at least five C-USA football games this season. ESPN, which has not televised C-USA regular-season games in five seasons, has first choice of which games to carry.
It has long been speculated that ESPN would broadcast C-USA games this season, but it wasn’t previously known that Fox Sports would not.
