Breyvic Valera hit a two-run homer to spark a six-run eighth inning as the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders rallied for a 9-7 victory over the Norfolk Tides on Thursday night at PNC Field.
Jace Peterson and Ryan Mountcastle had three hits apiece for the Tides (28-42), who led 7-3 after six innings. Peterson, Cedric Mullins and Zach Vincej each drove in a pair of runs. Mullins hit a two-run homer in the sixth.
The Tides, who got swept in the three-game series, will head to Buffalo to open a four-game set at 5:05 p.m. Friday.

Brian Peccie of Washington and Lee earned College Division All-State Men’s Golf Player of the Year honors for the second consecutive season, the Virginia Sports Information Directors announced Thursday.
