NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s tennis (4-1) handed Missouri (3-1) its first loss of the season by a 4-2 score on Thursday afternoon at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. The Tennis Monarchs clinched the match with a 4-0 score.
Old Dominion got off to an early 1-0 lead after picking up doubles wins from Starodubtseva/Andrieieva (6-2) and Malenko/Vlasova (6-3).
In singles 1-3, ODU picked up straight set victories from Holly Hutchinson (7-6, 6-4), Nataliia Vlasova (6-3, 6-2) and Oleksandra Andrieieva (7-6, 6-2) to seal the deal on the Monarchs fourth win of the season.
