DURHAM, N.C. – The Old Dominion (9-9, 5-2 MAC) wrestling team dropped their final dual of the season to No. 20 Duke (7-7, 1-4 ACC) at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Saturday afternoon, 19-16. The dual came down to the final bout, where Duke’s No. 3 Jacob Kasper ultimately won the dual for the Blue Devils.
“We lost a battle to a tough Duke team today,” said Head Coach Steve Martin. “We had several opportunities to defeat a top 20 team but at the end of the day you have to give Duke credit.”
Starting at 125, Michael McGee earned a decision over senior Thayer Atkins to put the Monarchs on the board first.
