Old Dominion's Shane Jones was named Mid-American Conference Wrestler of the Week on Thursday.
The junior from Stroudsburg, Pa., went 4-1 at 165 pounds to finish third at the Reno Tournament of Champions, including three straight wins in bonus points. He lost to Oklahoma State's Chandler Rogers, ranked 10th, in the semifinals, but bounced back to earn a 6-4 victory over American University's Anthony Wokasch in the third-place match.
The Monarchs will compete Saturday and Sunday at the Midlands Tournament at Northwestern in Evanston, Ill.
