NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s soccer team (6-6-3, 3-3-1 C-USA) took down UAB (7-6-1, 4-3-0 C-USA) by a 1-0 score on Sunday afternoon at the ODU Soccer Complex. Sunday marked the fourth straight shutout for Old Dominion’s defense, as the Monarchs have not allowed a goal in their last 412 minutes of action. ODU outshot the Blazers 16-3.
After a scoreless first half, the Monarchs dominated the shot count in the opening 45 minutes 10-1.
In the 49th minute, Deirdre Bradley gave Old Dominion a 1-0 lead after cleaning up a UAB save, which came off a Natalie Johnson header.
