After giving No. 6 North Carolina State all it could handle in a 25-15 loss Thursday night, Old Dominion’s wrestling team was no match for No. 4 Missouri on Saturday.
Grant Leeth won with a pin at 149 pounds and Daniel Lewis won by technical fall 15-0 at 174 as the Tigers defeated the Monarchs 36-3.
Michael McGee got ODU (1-3, 0-1 MAC) off to a good start with a 2-1 victory over Barlow McGhee in three overtimes at 125 pounds.
Missouri, though, won the next nine matches.
“This road trip gave us a strong gauge of where we stand,” said ODU coach Steve Martin.
