Old Dominion beat Florida International 7-2 on Sunday, giving the Monarchs two wins in the three-game home series. It was the third consecutive Conference USA series won by ODU (24-15, 7-11), which lost its first three in league play.
Winner Ryne Moore (6-2) held FIU to five hits and a run in six innings. Andy Garriola broke a 1-1 tie with a home run to right field in the sixth, and the Monarchs took control of the Panthers (17-22, 7-11) with a five-run seventh.
The Monarchs host East Carolina at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
