NORFOLK — Old Dominion built a seven-run lead and held on to post an 8-6 baseball victory over Florida International in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday at the Bud Metheny Complex.
Erik Stock (Greenbrier Christian), who scored twice, Jared Hancock and Vinnie Pasquantino each drove in two runs for ODU.
In the second game, FIU bounced back for a 12-6 triumph.
Andy Garriola went 2 for 4 with two RBIs to pace the Monarchs (23-15, 6-11 Conference USA) in the nightcap.
The two teams will finish their weekend series at noon Sunday.
