Western Branch High grad Zach Rutherford and former Tallwood standout Culver Lamb both hit two-run doubles in Old Dominion’s four-run fifth inning, and the Monarchs held on for a 6-3 win over William & Mary in a nonconference game on Tuesday at the Bud Metheny Complex.
The Monarchs took advantage of three straight errors by the former CAA rival Tribe (18-15) in the decisive inning.
Kellam grad Nick Walker led off with a homer in the first inning for ODU before the Tribe rallied with two runs in the top of the fifth

ODU (25-9) added a run in the sixth and the Tribe tacked on one in the ninth.
