The Student-Athlete Academic Services of Old Dominion University held their inaugural Student-Athlete Social Media/Image Management event on Wednesday, Jan. 11. This event was held in the North Cafeteria located in the WEBB Center on Old Dominion University's campus. This event was specific programming for freshmen student-athletes. The dynamic guest speaker, Cecelia Townes of Beyond The Game, led two sessions that totaled over 120 freshmen. Townes is a graduate of Howard University and the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. As an undergraduate at Howard, Townes played on the women’s tennis team, was team captain and four-time ITA Scholar-Athlete.
