Old Dominion’s much-anticipated return to Virginia Tech on Sept. 7 will kick off at noon and be televised by ESPNU, the ACC announced Thursday.
ODU upset Tech 49-35 in Norfolk last season for its first win over a Power Five school and a nationally-ranked opponent. The Hokies prevailed 38-0 in Blacksburg in 2017.
The Monarchs announced kickoff times for their home games last week. Times for games at Virginia on Sept. 21, Marshall on Oct. 12 and Alabama-Birmingham on Oct. 19 have not been determined.
Knight to transfer
ODU’s depth at running back took a hit this week when Will Knight, the team’s fifth-leading rusher in 2018, announced that he will transfer to Delaware.
