Chrissy Horn scored four minutes into the first overtime period to lift Old Dominion to a 3-2 field hockey victory over Big East foe Villanova on Saturday at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex.
The Lady Monarchs (7-8, 3-3) snapped a four-game losing streak.
Erin Huffman and Danielle Grega scored in regulation for the Lady Monarchs. Emma McLaughlin scored in the waning seconds of regulation for Villanova (4-12, 1-5) to force overtime.
Old Dominion hosts Providence at noon Friday.
