The Old Dominion women’s tennis team earned its first at-large NCAA tournament berth and was paired to face No. 21 Virginia in a first-round match this weekend in Columbia, S.C.
The Cavaliers won 4-3 about a month ago over the Monarchs, who are ranked 37th and coached by Charlottesville native Dom Manilla. The winner of that rematch likely will face No. 3 seed South Carolina, which is guided by former William & Mary coach Kevin Epley.
