NORFOLK (WAVY) — Old Dominion held a pep rally on Monday morning to send it’s football team off in style as it departed Norfolk to head to Nassau for its Bahamas Bowl showdown against Eastern Michigan.
It’s been a memorable season for the Monarchs. They were picked to finish in sixth place in the Conference USA’s East Division, but ODU defied the odds, winning 8 of its last 9 games to finish a 9-3 record.
“What a remarkable job this year for a group of men, these coaches and these players that were picked to finish at the bottom of the league to finish at the top of the league,” head coach Bobby Wilder said.
