UNIVERSITY PARK, Penn. – The No. 60 Old Dominion men’s tennis team (2-3) lost a hard-fought battle to No. 50 nationally ranked Penn State (3-0) by a 5-2 score on Sunday. The loss snapped the Tennis Monarchs’ two match win streak. All matches were played indoors at University Park, Penn., in what was the Nittany Lions’ home opener.
After dropping the first completed doubles match on Court No. 3, Old Dominion proved to be resilient as Adam Moundir and Aziz Kijametovic were too much for David Kohan and Christian Lutschaunig in No. 1 doubles, 6-3.
