MORGANTOWN, W.V. - The No. 35 nationally ranked Old Dominion women’s tennis team improved to 10-3 on the season after shutting out West Virginia (4-4) by a 4-0 score on Sunday at the Summit Tennis Academy.
ODU has claimed victory in seven of its last nine matches.
Holly Hutchinson/Natalya Malenko and Yulia Starodubtseva/Louie McLelland won their respective doubles matches, giving ODU a 1-0 lead.
Hutchinson defeated Christina Jordan in straight sets (6-3, 6-1) on Court No. 1. Starodubtseva made quick work of Anne-Sophie Courteau (6-2, 6-1) in No. 2 singles to give ODU a 3-0 lead.
