CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The No. 28 nationally ranked Old Dominion men’s tennis team (12-3) won its 10th consecutive match, as the visiting Monarchs toppled Charlotte (4-2) by a 5-2 score on Sunday afternoon at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex.
Old Dominion’s last loss came all the way back on Jan. 31st at No. 50 Penn State by a 5-2 score.
Charlotte jumped out to an early 1-0 advantage after claiming victories in No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
The Tennis Monarchs responded, winning five out six singles matches.
No. 103 nationally Adam Moundir’s match went into three sets, where Moundir would ultimately get the better of Charlotte’s Vikram Hundal (6-2, 4-6, 7-6).
