NORFOLK, Va. – The No. 28 nationally ranked Old Dominion women’s tennis team (15-2) was too much for Winthrop (11-5) in a 5-2 Monarchs win on Saturday afternoon at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. ODU clinched the victory at a 4-0 score, as its first three wins in singles came in straight sets.
The Monarchs have won seven-straight and 12 of their last 13 matches. Old Dominion is 10-0 when playing at home.
No. 28 Old Dominion will next take on No. 22 Virginia in Charlottesville on Thursday, March 28 at 3PM.
