NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Savanna Reilly scored a goal in the waning seconds of the first overtime period to help Quinnipiac defeat the 19th-ranked Old Dominion field hockey team, 3-2 OT, Friday afternoon at Yale's Johnson Field. Quinnipiac improved to 4-10, 3-2 (BIG EAST), while the Lady Monarchs dropped to 6-7, 2-3 (BIG EAST).
ODU got on the board first in the 21st minute when Amie Olton scored her first goal of the season, collecting a loose ball from five yards out and shooting it past the Bobcat goalkeeper. The Lady Monarchs carried the 1-0 lead as well as a 10-2 shot advantage into the locker rooms at the half.
