NORFOLK, Va. - The No. 19 nationally ranked Old Dominion women’s tennis team (9-2) handed Penn (6-2) its second loss of the season by a 4-2 score on Sunday afternoon at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
After dropping the doubles point, ODU picked up singles wins from Nataliia Vlasova, Oleksanda Andrieieva, Brooke Pilkington and Alesya Yakubovich.
With the victory, the Tennis Monarchs are now 6-0 at home so far this season. ODU has won six of its last seven matches. Penn was riding a two-match win-streak entering Sunday’s match in Norfolk, while Old Dominion handed the Quakers their first road loss of the season.
