Old Dominion’s Antonio Agee defeated Colin McCracken 6-2 at 184 pounds Friday, and the Monarchs wrestlers held on for a 19-14 win over Kent State in a Mid-American Conference dual at Memorial Athletic Center.
The win snapped a three-match losing streak for ODU (8-8, 4-2), which led 19-7 after Agee’s decision but dropped the final two bouts.
ODU’s Michael McGee opened with an 11-1 major decision over Jake Ferri at 125 pounds.
After a loss by Caleb Richardson at 133 pounds, the Monarchs got three straight wins from 19th-ranked Alex Madrigal (141), Kenan Carter (149) and Larry Early (157).
