NORFOLK — Vinnie Pasquantino hit a walk-off single in the ninth inning Tuesday, lifting Old Dominion to its eighth straight win in a nonconference baseball series opener at the Bud Metheny Complex.
The teams were tied at 2 entering the ninth. Matthew Barefoot put the Camels (8-4) ahead with a solo homer before Mat Burch tied it with an RBI double in the botom half.
Campbell plated two in the sixth before the Monarchs (9-2) rallied in the bottom of the frame, scoring on a single by Greenbrier Christian grad Erik Stock and a fly out by Tommy Bell.
