MANHATTAN, Kan. — Vinnie Pasquantino hit a two-run single to spark a four-run first inning Sunday, and Old Dominion rolled to an 8-2 victory over Kansas State to win the nonconference baseball series at Tointon Stadium.
Tommy Bell followed with a bases-loaded hit by pitch and Michael Marrale hit an RBI single in support of Ryne Moore (3-0).
Moore scattered two run and four hits over seven innings for the win, striking out six. Aaron Holiday held the Wildcats (6-8) to one hit the rest of the way.
After the Kansas State plated two runs in the fifth, the Monarchs (11-3) answered with a four-run sixth fueled by Andy Gariola’s two-run single.
