Old Dominion continued its offensive barrage with 17 hits to dominate Marshall 16-1 in a Conference USA baseball game Saturday at the Bud Metheny Complex.

The game was shortened to seven innings because of the mercy rule.

Zach Rutherford (Western Branch) drove in four runs and was one of seven Monarchs to have at least two hits. Kyle Battle went 3 for 4 with a homer and two RBIs.

Adam Bainbridge (7-1) went the distance for the Monarchs, allowing one run on four hits with four strikeouts.

ODU (30-12, 14-6) has averaged 13 runs in its past four games.
