NORFOLK | Doni Pollock rallied the Monarchs in the 41st minute before Vermont pulled away for a 3-1 win in the opener of the ODU Soccer Classic on Friday night at the ODU Soccer Complex.
The Catamounts (5-0-0) opened scoring in the 31st minute on a goal by Bernard Yeboah before Pollock equalized on an assist from Sebastian Hauret.
Loftur Eriksson put Vermont back ahead in the 62nd minute, and Shane Haley scored in the 74th for the final margin.
ODU (2-1-1) concludes the Soccer Classic on Sunday at 2 p.m. against No. 18 Radford.
