The Monarchs claimed a 68-62 victory over Western Kentucky University last Thursday with Trey Freeman tying his career high 28 points and Jordan Baker shooting 4-5 from the 3-point line. The conference win comes after losing three games in a row by a total of six points.“We certainly needed that,” Coach Jeff Jones said after the game. “After losing the last three with everything our kids put in it, to fall short, it means a lot to them. I can see it in their faces… to finally get a reward for playing so hard.
