BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Old Dominion (6-5, 3-1 MAC) wrestling team defeated Buffalo (5-6, 2-2 MAC) in a conference battle on Friday night in Buffalo, N.Y. The Monarchs won seven out of 10 bouts.
The Monarch victory marked the first win over Buffalo since January 23, 2015.
“We wrestled a complete match tonight from all 10 weight classes. Buffalo competes at a very high pace so we had to be ready. We had four overtime matches and we won three of the four so that shows a lot of toughness,” explained head coach Steve Martin.
