GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Old Dominion (3-10-1, 1-4-1) men's soccer team fell at UNCG, 3-1 on Saturday night. Edison Giron and the Monarchs got on the board first before the Spartans (7-8-1, 5-1-0) scored three-straight goals.
"It was a difficult loss in a game where we had a one goal lead but our focus is on next Friday night against FAU for a chance to play in the C-USA Tournament at home," said head coach Alan Dawson.
To open play, ODU took four shots but the score was 0-0 heading into the locker room.
In the second half, Edison Giron found the back of net in the 52nd minute, which marked his first collegiate goal.
