WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Led by a fourth-place finish by Chad Hess, the Old Dominion men's golf team placed fifth out of 24 teams at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate this week at the Kingsmill Resort River Course in Williamsburg.
Old Dominion (+37) finished 9-over as a team in the final round and ended the tournament 15 strokes behind team champion Southern Illinois (+22).
Individually, Hess (+2) carded a 2-over 72 on Tuesday and finished four strokes behind individual champion Peyton Wilhoit (-2) of Southern Illinois. Hess recorded 12 birdies for the tournament, which was tied for second among individuals.
