Reynaldo Pastrana hit a solo home run with one out in the ninth inning Sunday, giving Marshall a 2-1 victory over Old Dominion in the finale of their three-game Conference USA baseball series at Bud Metheny Complex.
Though denied a sweep, the Monarchs improved to 10-1 in weekend series this season.

Marshall pitchers Will Ray and Matt Reed (5-4) combined to silence the Monarch bats after they combined for 30 runs in the series' first two games.
