Jonathan Washam, Marshall Boggs and Chase Lunceford each hit homers in a four-run ninth inning as Louisiana Tech defeated Old Dominion 7-3 in a Conference USA baseball game Sunday at the Bud Metheny Complex.
It marked the first series loss of the season for the Monarchs (26-11,10-5), who stand in third place in C-USA. The Bulldogs won 3-2 on Saturday after ODU took the opener 7-3 on Friday.
Louisiana Tech took a 3-1 lead in the top of the eighth on Lunceford's RBI single, but ODU tied it in the bottom of the inning on an RBI single by Zach Rutherford (Western Branch) and an RBI triple by Vinnie Pasquantino.
