NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion women's lacrosse team was named a recipient of the NCAA Public Recognition Award for an Academic Progress Rate that ranked in the top 10 percent of all women's lacrosse teams.
The Academic Progress Rate (APR) is a metric instituted by the NCAA in 2003 that tracks the academic progress of student-athletes through a team-based metric that accounts for the eligibility and retention of each student-athlete for each academic term.
Head coach Heather Holt and the 2016 Lady Monarchs won the 2016 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship en route to earning the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament berth.
