NORFOLK, Va. – For the third time this postseason, Old Dominion University senior outfielder Kyle Battle has reigned in an All-American honor. On Saturday, Battle was named to the ABCA/Rawlings Third-Team All-American squad.
On Thursday, Battle was named a Baseball America All-American and the day before he was named second-team NCBWA All-American. Battle also earned first-team All-Conference USA accolades.
A native of Glen Allen, Virginia, Battle led Conference USA and is tied for 16th in the country with 18 home runs. Of his 18 homers, 14 came against C-USA opponents. He also led C-USA and is tied for third in the country with a school record tying 56 walks.
