Kansas State rolls to big early, takes Game 2 of baseball series from Monarchs

Kansas State scored 10 runs over the first five innings Saturday and rolled to a 11-5 nonconference baseball victory over Old Dominion at Bud Metheny Complex.

Talwood graduate Culver Lamb went 4 for 5 with a double, triple and two RBIs, and Bryce Windham added two hits and an RBI for the Moanrchs (2-4). Hunter Gregory (0-1), a freshman from Chesapeake, took the loss. The 2017 All-Tidewater Player of the Year from Hickory allowed six hits and seven runs in 3.2 innings.

The Wildcats (4-3), a 11-3 victor Friday, clinched the series. The teams play the finale at noon Sunday.
