NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion outfielder Andy Garriola received his third Freshman All-American honor as he was named to D1 Baseball's second team All-America as release by the organization. He becomes the only Monarch to be named to three different freshman All-American teams.
The C-USA Freshman of the Year hit .328 with 19 doubles, 62 RBIs and 10 home runs. His 62 RBIs are an ODU freshman record and the most by any Monarch since 2011. Garriola also picked up All-C-USA First Team All-Conference honors. The California native was also selected to Collegiate Baseball's All-American honors as well as NCBWA All-American honors.
