Old Dominion will induct five more people into its Athletics Hall of Fame in September, including former Salem High field hockey star Caroline Nichols.
Joining Nichols in the Sept. 23 induction at the Webb Center is another field hockey standout, Laura Knorr Moliken, along with sailor Corrie Clement, women's soccer player Jen Henley and Tony Hage, a respected administrator for more than two decades.
Nichols was the first Colonial Athletic Association player to be named the league's Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season. She also was a member of the 2008 and 2012 USA Olympic field hockey squads and currently works as an assistant field hockey coach at Columbia.
