Wendy Larry, who guided the Old Dominion women's basketball team to unprecedented heights, highlights the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame's Class of 2019, announced Tuesday.
Larry is joined by seven others, including former NFL stars Ruben Brown and Heath Miller, NASCAR driver Jeff Burton, Olympic diver Mark Lenzi and standout quarterback William "Buster" O'Brien.
The class will be inducted April 6 at Zeider's American Dream Theatre in Virginia Beach. Event and ticket information will be released in December.
Larry's career at Old Dominion spanned more than 30 years as one of the first women to receive a scholarship, as a graduate and assistant coach and as the head coach from 1987-2011.
