GILBERT, Ariz. -- The Old Dominion field hockey team continued its rise up the rankings this week, moving up to No. 11 in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll.
The Monarchs, who began the season unranked, are 7-0 and one of just five undefeated teams remaining in the nation, along with No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 UConn, No. 3 Maryland and No. 18 Maine. View the rankings here.
Last week, ODU defeated Providence, 6-1, in the Big East opener in Easton, Pennsylvania. The game was played in Easton due to Hurricane Florence.
