PITTSBURGH, Pa. – After winning his two bouts on Thursday, Larry Early advances to the 157-pound quarterfinals of the 2019 NCAA Wrestling Championships, where he will face No. 2 Tyler Berger of Nebraska on Friday morning in Session Three. Sophomore Michael McGee and Sa’Derian Perry fell into the wrestlebacks after second round losses.
In his opening bout, Early did not allow Quincy Monday of Princeton to score a point against him as he took him down by a 10-0 major decision. During the round of 16, Early escaped and took down No. 10 Steven Bleise in the final period to defeat him 3-2.
