Conference USA football is, as expected, returning to ESPN, and the league and nation's most-watched sports network have reached an agreement that could lead to many Old Dominion sports events being televised internationally via streaming devices.
League officials announced agreements with four networks Wednesday morning and that ESPN will televise Conference USA's football championship games this season and in 2017.
The CBS Sports Network will televise the men's and women's basketball championships the next two seasons as well.
C-USA officials did not announce details of the contract with ESPN. However, sources said that ESPN3 and another streaming network yet to be named would broadcast many league contests on that are not already televised on conventional networks.
