CLEVELAND, Ohio – Old Dominion sophomore Killian Cardinale has been named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) East Division Wrestler of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Cardinale earned two wins by major decision against MAC foes this past week with a combined score of 29-10. In Friday's dual against Edinboro, the 125-pounder earned a 15-5 victory over Lucas Rodriguez, followed by a 14-5 win over Cam Butler of Clarion on Sunday afternoon. Each bout earned bonus points for ODU, kick-starting the Monarchs to 24-9 and 25-9 wins, respectively.
This is the second time the Bristow, Virginia native was named MAC East Division Wrestler of the Week, as he also received the honor on November 13, the second week of the season.
