NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion field hockey senior Megan Byas took the field at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex one last time Saturday afternoon while representing Old Dominion in the 2016 Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division I Senior Game.
The senior defender from Driffield, England was one of 36 seniors in the nation selected by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association to participate in this year's event.
Playing for the "away" team coached by Miami (OH)'s Chip Rogers, Byas helped her squad score five second-half goals, although the "home" team prevailed, 7-5.
Byas started every game as a back for Old Dominion the last four seasons and completed her senior campaign last month with four goals and two assists, including the game-winning score that propelled the Lady Monarchs to a 2-1 OT victory over then-14th-ranked Liberty.
