Cable TV network beIN Sports announced details of a multi-year agreement with Conference USA to broadcast 10 football, 10 men’s basketball and 10 women’s basketball games this season.
beIN Sports also will become the primary outlet for C-USA non-revenue sports, televising 12 baseball, 12 softball, 10 men’s soccer and 10 women’s soccer games.
A spinoff of the Qatar-based network Al Jazerra, beIN Sports has focused primarily on professional soccer and niche sports such as cricket, as well as tennis, rugby, volleyball and boxing. The deal with C-USA is its first foray into American college sports.
It isn’t known how many Old Dominion games will be part of the broadcast package.
