NORFOLK, Va. - Behind a brilliant offensive effort from Ryan Teschko, the Old Dominion (7-1, 0-0 C-USA) baseball team defeated Yale, 6-1, in the series opener at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex.
Old Dominion scored three runs in the first inning and led for the remainder of the game.
"Offensively, we got up 3-0 and we expanded a little bit. Ryan Teschko swung the bat great for us today and so did Chris Dengler," explained head coach Chris Finwood. "Teschko has been working hard. He got off to a little bit of a slow start but him and coach Robbins made some adjustments in the cage this week and his BP has been really good so he took it into the game today.
